Lekgolo. The Lekgolo are a species of wormeel-like aliens that make up part of the Covenant army. The Hunters are an interesting parallel of the Covenants experience with Humanity.
Both are species that had their extermination called for by the Prophets. But the biggest update is that there will be hardly anymore cheating. Each Lekgolo is an individual organism about 14 meters long with its own central nervous system.
These are called Mgalekgolo or Hunters.
Lekgolo colonies are given three part names that denote their origin. Hunters are a hivemind of alien worms known as Lekgolo who come together to form intelligent brutish beings known as Mgalekgolo these are the humanoid-esque armored forms. Lekgolo A Mgalekgolo is not a single organism but rather a collective of small orange eel-like creatures called LekgoloIn order to form a Mgalekgolo dozens of individual Lekgolo bond with one another both physically and neurologically to form a single hive-minded community. The Lekgolo are individual worm creatures that can bind together to form a powerful singular creature composed of many different Lekgolos.
